The majority of the pistes are above 1800 metres and tend to be best suited to intermediates, with the terrain lower down better for beginners. Famous for its vast off-piste options, Engelberg is the perfect resort for powder skiers and snowboarders looking to explore the mountains. Some of the off-piste areas around Engelberg are huge so make sure you hire a guide before heading for the fresh powder.
