Igls

Ski Area

The ski area in Igls is a great all-rounder no matter what level of skier or snowboarder you are. With Innsbruck being a former Winter Olympic host back in 1972, the area has some awesome runs that will definitely get the heart pumping!

Although the ski area is great for the downhill skiing adrenaline junkies, Igls also has some great beginner facilities in both the village and up the mountain – which can be reached via the Patscherkofelbahn gondola or the Olympia express chairlift. With 18km of piste to explore – including the Olympic Downhill run and a terrain park – Igls have some great runs for intermediates but if you are looking for some challenging skiing then you may want to explore the other 8 resorts that can be accessed on the ‘Glacier Lift Pass’.

Igls also offers some great cross-country skiing with around 200km to track-out.  They also have the Olympic Bobsleigh Track so if you're looking for a truly exhilarating experience then this one is definitely for you!
