Saint-Lary has arguably one of the most stunning ski areas in the whole of the French Pyrenees. There is an abundance of terrain for all levels or skier and snowboarder with a huge 100 kilometres of slopes to get stuck into. The resort is pretty snow sure with over 270 snow cannons to help keep snow topped up on the pistes.
There are three different ski areas in Saint-Lary; Saint-Lary 1700, Saint-Lary 1900 and Saint-Lary 2400. Saint-Lary 1700 is the base area with surrounding accommodation and where the main lifts depart from. There is plenty of gentle terrain here and two moving carpets for beginners and kids to play on. Saint-Lary 1900 has a selection of wide blue and red runs making it the ideal spot for intermediate skiers. There are also a couple of red and black runs through the trees for more advanced skiers to explore.
At an altitude of 2000 metres, Saint-Lary 2400 offers wide snow-sure pistes and plenty of sunshine! There are lots of slopes above treeline and some truly fantastic views from the top, including a few mountains restaurants which are accessible to skiers and non-skiers offering wonderful 360-degree panoramic view of the mountains.
